Hey Johnny,
stay in business man, cuz ill be looking for u again for my next lappy! BTW, the s73G is superb!
thanks!
here is another cool site! good for support for those who needs it!
I'd prefer a proper site... Maybe you could have your own webpage instead o a blog?
got the S41 after reading and saw john selling it up in lowyat.net .. price rm3999 .. rm4100 after adding another 1GB RAM .. only linux (cannot remember which distro) can as OS .. freebies wireless headset (havent tried) + mouse + 1GB kingston flash USB
S41 feels light even with batt .. overall apperance is very good especially the brushed aluminium finish ..
featurewise .. there bluetooth, wifi, card reader, 4xUSB, HDMI, LAN, 56k, 1394, ext monitor support, built in cam, just about everything is in here ..
comes standard with VISTA drivers .. installing VISTA is a breeze as with the drivers ..
now for those who still need XP like me due to constraints will find that the drivers are not so easy to find but i think john would have downloaded them by now so its no issue ..
havent had time to really test the processing power of the C2D 1.8ghz (7100 cpu)S41 yet as i do most of my vids rendering on my desktop still .. but in time i will try just for fun as this S41 is use mostly as my work machine ..
the 14inch widesreen will satisfy most unless serious gaming (which should NOT use laptops) .. 1280x800 display serves most purpose well ... gfx on couple of games tested were smooth and without jitter at all .. the 8600GS is really good
the keyboard feel could have been nicer .. the keyboard keys feels abit plasticky .. not solid enuff but still works well of coz .. for users who uses the touchpad instead of external mouse will feel the heat creeping up on the aluminium areas after a while of using .. its NOT the cpu OVERHEATING but just that heat from the S41 has to go somewhere and the aluminium panels seems the best place to go logically .. no issue except abit of uncomfortableness on the heat after prolong usage
with the supplied synaptic touchpa drivers .. VISTA took some time to fully load the desktop but once its loaded its no issue .. without the synaptic drivers touch pad seems a bit erratic and overly sensitive but loading is much much faster at the start ..
batt life is well over 2 hours on normal use .. should be enuf for most users .. excess dvd use shortens the usage time significantly ..
overall i am quite happy with the S41 .. its loaded with features and a superb dx10 ready gfx built in .. pricewise i think nothing else in the market currently has all these features and still manage to sell under rm4k .. GOOD BUY !! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !! good service from the seller too .. LOL
John,
im a BenQ S41-H user n also one of ur customer....
today i change my benQ into vista with the vcd u gave me for the drivers.....
all was smooth but then problem occur,
I copied the warcraft file from my fren like always into my computer local disk D....
last time when i do like this n play with vista its smooth except for some fatal error cause by the unstable maps....
But today when i play Dota it actually came out blue screen of death half way while i playing...
my bro said must be software error.. or warcraft data faulty...
but i was wondering is it possible that its something to do driver or maybe hardware error... coz maybe the driver i install for Xp gt problem i also dono.
